Fancy meeting up?

Whether meeting up with friends, lunching with business colleagues, having a quiet night out or holding a large celebration, we are certainly spoilt for choice with our local hospitality businesses. There is so much to do and to suit different tastes, requirements and budgets. From pubs & bars, to coffee shops, restaurants and takeaways all offering a variety of local & world cuisine & beverages in a host of comfortable surroundings. Our community halls & social club also provide many social events to bring residents together.

Entertainment wise the list is endless, from quiz nights, comedy nights, wine tasting, pie nights, afternoon tea, live music, open mic nights, community events & fundraisers. You can even watch your local cricket team whilst sipping your drink or sit outside your favourite hostelry and watch the world go by. Of course, it’s not all about eating and drinking. Our very own local cinema showcases the latest films every month from the Community Centre.

For businesses our local venues provide a host of facilities to hold business meetings, informal gatherings and networking events. With WIFI now the norm, the ability to meet colleagues and clients in the pleasant surroundings of your local bar or coffee shop have never been easier.

For me there is nothing better than a Friday night out in Holmes Chapel, sitting outside one of our pubs, whilst listening to St Luke’s bell ringing, and people watching. Aren’t we lucky?
