Holmes Chapel Christmas Market & Fair 2022

SUNDAY 4th December sees the return of the Holmes Chapel Christmas Market & Fair. Our centrefold pull-out guide includes all the highlights of the year, plus a handy map to take with you on the evening. If you don’t want to carry the paper map with you, click here to access or digital version.

This much-loved event is returning this year thanks to the determination and hard work of voluntary organisation, Holmes Chapel Partnership. They have been working tirelessly since the summer to ensure this year’s market is bigger and better than before!

The main road through the village (The Square) will be closed to traffic from Barclays Bank down to and including Parkway from midday until 10 pm on Sunday. It will be brought to life with almost 40 festive stalls, starting at 3pm until 7pm. A further 10 stalls are located inside the Scout Hall, plus local gift shops Holmes, Gifts and Interiors and the Print Room on Church Walk will be open for the event. It is the perfect place to find Christmas gifts while supporting local businesses and organisations.

The fairground returns to the Co-op car park with a choice of six rides, hook-a-duck and candy floss stalls. Festive performances from Hermitage Primary School choir, Holmes Chapel Primary School choir, Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, Laura Wilson School of Dance, Lions Youth Brass Band and local band The Bandwagon will take place on the Claus will also be in attendance on his brand new sleigh to meet the children near the entrance to the Co-op.

Always a popular event for meeting up with friends and family, the Christmas Market & Fair also offers plenty of delicious food and drink opportunities, inside and out, which are listed in the pull out guide. Refreshment stalls can be found along Parkway, in St Lukes Hall along with the warm welcome of village pubs and eateries which are open for visitors.

This is an entirely not-for-profit event which would not have been possible without generous sponsorships provided by Holmes Chapel Parish Council, Massey Feeds, Neon Freight, Sibelco, Laura Wilson School of Dance, Cheshire Pet, Thorneycroft and Anwyl Homes. Thank you all for supporting this community event.

Roll on Sunday 4th December - we can’t wait for this unforgettable festive night out! The Christmas Market & Fair is open from 3-7pm on Sunday 4th December. Entry is free but donations to Holmes Chapel Partnership can be made on the evening to help cover the events running costs.
